A clean scheduled before dust-producing work is finished often creates repeat cleaning, extra mobilization, and confusion over what changed after the original clean.
Final Cleaning happens when schedules are tight, trades are still moving, and the finished product is most exposed. When readiness, scope, and quality control are unclear, the cleaning crew can become one more subcontractor the Superintendent has to manage.
UNCLEAR SCOPE
When added areas, new residue, or trade re-entry are not identified early, contractors can end up debating what was included after the work is already underway.

What Our Final Clean Covers
Final Cleaning is detailed closeout work performed after major construction debris is removed and dust-producing trades are substantially complete. Every project is scoped around the actual surfaces, access, conditions, and areas included in the approved work.
Detailed removal of fine construction dust from accessible surfaces, ledges, trim, sills, fixtures, and other areas included in the approved scope.
FINE CONSTRUCTION DUST
Cleaning and detailing of accessible cabinet interiors and exteriors, drawers, shelving, closets, and built-in storage where included in the project scope.
CABINETRY & BUILT-INS
FIXTURES, TRIM & FINISHED SURFACES
Detailing of doors, baseboards, trim, hardware, plumbing fixtures, installed finishes, and other completed surfaces using surface-appropriate methods.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of finished floors, with attention to edges, corners, and remaining light construction residue where safe to remove.
FLOORS & FINAL DETAILING
GROUND-LEVEL GLASS & TRACKS
Detailed removal of fine construction dust from accessible surfaces, ledges, trim, sills, fixtures, and other areas included in the approved scope.
LABELS, FILM & CLOSEOUT DETAIL
Removal of approved labels, stickers, protective film, and other final-detail items that can keep a finished space from looking closeout-ready.
Construction does not always stop after Final Cleaning. When trades re-enter, last-minute work creates new dust, or specific areas need another pass before turnover, Sparkle & Surf can provide defined Touch-Up / Punch Cleaning support without confusing new project conditions with the original Final Clean.
Touch-Up / Punch Cleaning
Project-specific conditions matter. Heavy debris hauling, hazardous materials, elevated-access work, restoration-level residue, and specialty high-risk cleaning require separate review and may fall outside our normal self-performed scope.
Protecting the Finished Product
By the time Final Cleaning begins, the project is full of finished surfaces that can be damaged by the wrong tool, chemical, or cleaning method. Our approach is simple: when something is questionable, we stop and verify before we proceed.

CONTRACTOR COMMUNICATION
When finish information, cure requirements, or manufacturer restrictions are not visually obvious, we coordinate with the contractor before cleaning the affected area.
One extra question is cheaper than one damaged finish.
Finish protection is built into our closeout process because the goal is not simply to remove construction residue. The goal is to return the finished product clean without creating a new problem.
